While we are counting for the months before the beginning of the 2017-18 season, the Cleveland Cavaliers point guard; Kyrie Irving is still making headlines because of his NBA trade request. Kyrie Irving sought for a trade for he wishes to be far from LeBon James’ shadow, as he is reportedly frustrated with sharing the same basketball court with James'.
Mixed emotions from critics and fans about Kyrie Irving’s decision
Although there were a lot of mixed reactions about Kyrie Irving’s bold decision, the former general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers, David Griffin, thought that the NBA player has professionally approached Dan Gilbert and that he was courageous in doing so.
"The absolute worst thing this guy could have done was pretend to be all-in and sink the ship from within,” he said.
David Griffin also indicated that it is going to be a win-win situation for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Irving’s future team since he considered the point guard to be someone who just wants to discover how great he can be on the court. If the trade happens soon, this could be Irving’s new way of testing his boundaries.
Criticism immediately followed after the announcement of Irving’s request. Some members of the league are acknowledging this moment as a change that may spark something new for the coming season.
News and rumors about Irving’s top choices have emerged right after.
Two of them would be about how he would likely consider playing for the LA Clippers and Miami Heat.
But if James can overshadow Irving’s rebounds and three-points, the news about his collaboration with Kobe Bryant is also going to do just the same when it comes to the criticisms.
Irving takes on a new journey with Kobe Bryant
Irving announced on Instagram that he would be working with Kobe Bryant for his Nike shoe collection.
The NBA player was all smiling in his video, informing millions of his fans about the dream that started as an idea when he was just 17 years old.
The Kyrie-Kobe shoe collaboration was also shown in the video, and it featured both of their Nike shoe signatures. “This is an honor, and a blessing and I cannot wait to share this with the world and also help push it forward," he says.
Unfortunately for his fans, the point guard did not exclusively give details yet about when the collection will be released, but following his announcement, it is bound to happen sooner or later.
Kyrie Irving’s signature line has been doing great since he first launched his own collection and the Cleveland Cavaliers point guard might just score another success with his new Nike collaboration.
