It has been well over a year since Meghan King Edmonds decided to call out Brooks Ayers for supposedly lying about having cancer. On "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Meghan started digging into Brooks' medical records and even called his doctor to learn more about his case. This was King Edmonds' first season filming the show, and while some fans didn't mind how she was digging into Brooks' history of lying, others felt she completely crossed the line.
Meghan has tried to explain her behavior on the show, but many people are wondering what motivated her to keep going with her research.
Brooks is no longer in the spotlight, and he has absolutely no interest in returning to "The Real Housewives of orange county." Brooks was caught faking his medical records while interviewing with a major media outlet and he explained that he faked the records to get fans of the show off his back.
He never offered up his true medical records, but he did take the cameras into a doctors appointment, where the doctor pointed out that there was something in his body that wasn't supposed to be there.
Vicki wasn't happy
Vicki Gunvalson wasn't too happy when Meghan started digging around and finding things about Brooks and his health. She felt that Meghan was clearly crossing a line and that she should stop before things got too serious.
Even though Meghan questioned Brooks' motives in regards to his health and hiding his cancer, it was actually Vicki herself that caused King Edmonds to start dating and calling Ayers' doctor.
According to a new Bravo report, Meghan King Edmonds revealed that it was Vicki's aggressive attitude and cold demeanor that caused her to reach out to Brooks' doctor and question his story.
This became her storyline on "The Real Housewives of Orange County."
"I knew that Vicki's boyfriend had cancer and I was also going through a cancer situation with LeAnn, with Jimmy's ex-wife. I thought that we could help each other and talk about each other's experiences and commiserate, and instead, I was confronted with a very defensive woman who wanted nothing to do with me, and I was shocked," Meghan explains about her decision to dig deeper into Brooks' case.
Was Vicki really in the dark?
Vicki claims she didn't know that Brooks Ayers was lying about having cancer. If she did know, one can imagine that she would be very upset to learn this news. If Vicki knew about the lie and was in on it, she was essentially the one who busted them, as it was her behaviors that caused Meghan to start digging.
If King Edmonds had never started digging into Brooks' medical records, his lies might never have been exposed. The "Real Housewives of Orange County" stars may have wondered if Brooks was stretching the truth, but none of them would have ever gone into detail to explore his medical records.
