Meghan King Edmonds was super excited to have a baby with her husband Jimmy and she documented her entire pregnancy on the previous season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County." Meghan was excited to give birth and meet her baby girl, but she's now revealing that motherhood is very hard. It sounds like King Edmonds didn't prepare for motherhood as well as she could have. Even though this is Meghan's first child, Jimmy has several kids and could have helped with the preparations.
On Monday's episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Meghan King Edmonds explained that she wasn't going to sugarcoat her comments on motherhood.
As it turns out, she doesn't have the perfect words about how wonderful motherhood is. It's rough and she wasn't ready for the lack of sleep and her long days with a gassy and crying baby.
Becoming a mother was a learning curve
It's clear that motherhood is a learning curve for Meghan. As she explains, she loves her little baby girl and she often comments on Aspen, saying she's the happiest baby ever. However, it seems like it isn't so perfect behind the scenes. On social media, King Edmonds reveals that Aspen is almost perfect but on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Meghan explains that motherhood is tough as her daughter has gas and reflux.
In her Bravo blog, Meghan opens up about watching her daughter on the small screen and it sounds like she loves watching the footage back.
"I love every time Aspen comes on the screen. She's grown so much since filming, so it's so fun for me to watch back when she was still so tiny. Of course, I love being a mother and I wouldn't trade it for anything, but I'm also not going to sugarcoat it – motherhood is hard!" Meghan writes in her Bravo blog.
Would she have another baby?
Even though Meghan King Edmonds has said that motherhood is tough, one can imagine she's more than open to having another baby. Meghan has previously joked about saving some of Aspen's things for a second baby, but it isn't something she and Jimmy are talking about. In fact, it's something that she may be thinking about but not bringing up, as Aspen isn't even one yet.
King Edmonds may wait until Aspen is a few years old before pursuing another baby with her husband. No word on whether he wants another one, as he already has a couple of kids.
