Lydia Mclaughlin is back on "The Real Housewives of Orange County" this season and she's already brought plenty of drama to the show. In the past, Lydia didn't exactly hit the show’s expectations with her innocent and sweet personality. She didn't exactly fit the mold of what a housewife was supposed to be at that time. But it sounds like she may have learned from her mistakes and she is back and she's bringing the drama.

During the first couple of episodes, McLaughlin called Shannon Beador a lost soul and she also questioned just how different Shannon was from Vicki Gunvalson.

This caused all kinds of trouble with Shannon, who stormed out of a party in tears.

Lydia introduces her family

Fans get to see a lot more of Lydia McLaughlin’s family on this season of “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” On this week’s episode, Lydia hosted a birthday party for her son, Stirling. She revealed that she does have a brother. He was introduced by Lydia and fans were surprised to see just how hot he was.

In addition to that, Lydia opened up about her father who is still married to her mother. Lydia's mother, Judy, has appeared on “The Real Housewives of Orange County" before and it seemed like she was indeed single.

As it turns out, Lydia's parents are still married and her father is just a complete opposite of her mother.

While Judy is happy and spunky, Lydia's father is much more laid back and quiet. It is something that she hasn't really talked about before and many assumed that Lydia’ mother was actually single. In her blog for “The Real Housewives of Orange County," Lydia McLaughlin opens up about her father and how he is still a huge part of her life.

Where has her father been?

As fans learned, Lydia named her son Stirling after his grandfather, whose name is Scott Stirling. He isn't on the show because he is always traveling. Of course, Lydia is from Canada so it is possible that he is spending lots of time there.

It's very interesting to see Lydia McLaughlin now compared to what fans saw a couple of years ago.

McLaughlin never used to be dramatic and outspoken, but it sounds like fans are seeing a much more outspoken side of her this year. It's also refreshing to see parts of her family members and learn more about her mother and where she comes from.

What do you think about Lydia McLaughlin opening up about her appearance on “The Real Housewives of Orange County?” Are you surprised that her mother is still married to her father, and just how different they are?
