Kristen Bell does not think fans should be saddened by Anna Faris and Chris Pratt's separation. In her interview with E! News on Thursday, the "Bad Moms" alum thought people should acknowledge the years these two people had and appreciate their effort to save the relationship.
Of breaking up and moving forward
The mother of two said she would still look back to her relationship even if it did not work out.
"If there are two people that decide not to be together, it shouldn't really be a heartbreak for everyone," she explained.
When asked how she will handle this kind of situation, Kristen Bell said separation is about accepting the reality no matter how much it hurts. She went on to add that it is important to value the time you had spent with your other half and accept that both of you will need to make hard decisions in order to move forward.
Kristen Bell, who has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades, though it was not Chris Pratt's rising popularity that fueled his separation from Anna Faris.
The 37-year-old actress explained that it had become a norm for actors to be away from their loved ones to film or promote overseas. "I think it's more the separation than anything that can weigh on people," she continued.
Bell talks about marriage with Shepard
In fact, the "Frozen" actress admitted that even her marriage with Dax Shepard requires a lot of effort to keep the romance alive. She revealed that she regularly goes to couple's therapy with her husband to make sure that communication and mutual respect are still there. "When we sit down to disagree it's a disagreement, not an argument," she added.
The actress also gushed about how her husband makes her laugh with his jokes. Although she admitted that she does not always agree with Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell believed that it was their constant communication that helped them accept each other.
She also underlined the importance of knowing each other's perspective and to listen to what the other half has to say. "I disagree with him on almost everything, but I have intense respect for his critical thinking skills and the fact that we were raised differently," she added.
But despite their disagreements, she guaranteed that she would never contempt her husband just because they disagree on several issues. The couple also wants to set a good example to their kids, Lincoln (4) and Delta (2), by showing them how they reconcile after a fight. Kristen Bell said it was Dax Shepard's idea that they do it that way to let their kids see how to handle family conflicts.
