We all envy the Kardashian dynasty. They are making money showing us how they live. Their reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” attracts millions of viewers on a daily basis. The family wouldn’t be so successful if it were not for their “momager” the queen herself, Kris Jenner. She is responsible for keeping her family in the spotlight but investing in her children’s career for some years now.
The supermom is also a bad-ass manager
The 61-year-old Kris is the force in the family that keeps the kids in business, and people wonder how she made Caitlyn Jenner big.
In a recent interview, the family matriarch opened up on a couple of things. During Janet Mock’s “Never Before” podcast Kris told her that she learned how to make it in business from her late husband Robert Kardashian Sr. who she got married to 22. For two decades she was surrounded by her first husband’s friends who were at the top of their games. Some were in the entertainment business, attorneys and others were CEOs managing incredible industries. Rob Kardashian was a successful lawyer then.
However, she didn’t realize her managerial skills until she met Caitlyn Jenner, previously known as Bruce Jenner, in the year 1990. She narrated how she decided to manage him after discovering his incredible potential yet he wasn’t doing anything out of it.
Nobody was booking Bruce for speeches, and Kris realized she could send him out on the road as a Public Speaker. To ensure the family’s financial stability, Jenner helped Caitlyn use her potential to earn more money.
Bruce had $200 only in his account
Kris Jenner went on talking about how she told Lisa, her assistant that Bruce was great but didn’t have someone to help him in spite of how good he was at what he used to do and how he didn’t have a lot going on.
Bruce had only $200 in the bank then, and Kris wondered what to do with the little money, yet the kids had to eat. She is good at keeping people in the spotlight, and she would spend everything to make Caitlyn famous.
The TV Mogul spent all her money to make glossy press-kit folders, took every great Sports article, magazine and made copies, They put together 7,000 press kits and mailed them all to every speakers’ bureau they knew.
After that, they sat back and waited for a phone call. Kris Jenner added that she wasn’t bothered by Caitlyn’s financial status then, she loved him and remained hopeful they would make it.
The couple announced going separate ways on 2013. The following year, Kris filed for a divorce. They still hung out together sometimes, and Caitlyn makes some appearances on the family’s show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
