Kim Kardashian channels First Lady Jackie Kennedy in a recent pictorial

Reality TV personality and socialite, Kim Kardashian dressed up in the same fashion as First Lady Jackie Kennedy in her recent interview and photo shoot with Interview magazine. There were mixed reactions about her Jackie-inspired style.

The magazine described her as “America’s New First Lady,” styled in 1960s-inspired fashion. The interview provided details on her career and her daughter, North West.

The magazine introduced her as an underestimated, misunderstood and without doubt, fascinating celebrity. It stated, "Kim Kardashian debuts her appearance on the magazine, as she channels Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the former First Lady of the United States.”

Interview magazine started off the article saying, “If anybody can be associated to embody the American Dream, it’s Kim Kardashian West.” The first question asked during the interview was about her daughter North.

The female star discussed that she is always very conscious of raising her daughter. She added that North has always been obsessed with her hair, and would always tell people, “Do you have curly hair like me?”

Her wealth came from various sources, the magazine pointed out.

She is the inspiration behind the mobile app Kim Kardashian West Official, as well as the mobile game “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.” There is also a set of emoticons that are inspired by her, called Kimojis.

The female celebrity is also launching her new fragrance brand next month, as part of her various product campaigns. She has previously worked with Balmain, cosmetics company KKW Beauty, and Yeezy.

Twitter criticism

US Weekly reported that there were Twitter criticisms received by her new magazine shoot. There were some who negatively commented on the headline used in the article, calling her as “America’s New First Lady.”

“’New First Lady’?!

The first lady of the United States does not put her nude and semi-nude pictures online! Disgraceful Interview magazine,” a Twitter user complained. “It is absurd to call Kim a First Lady. She could never be Michelle Obama or Jackie Onassis. Hell, she is barely even Marilyn,” another netizen posted.

On the final words during the interview, Kim Kardashian sent a message to her haters. She said, “You can say several things about me, but you cannot say I am not working hard. I do not sing. I do not dance. I do not act. But I am not a lazy person.”
