The music video of the much talked about and highly controversial new song by Taylor Swift, “Look What You Made Me Dopremiered during the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, which Katy Perry hosted. During the premiere of the music video, Perry was noticeably absent from the crowd.

According to E! News, a source said that although the "Fireworks" singer did not watch the premiere of Swift’s music video, she is not bothered at all about what other reports are saying.

Why Perry did not watch the video

Accordingly, Perry was not able to watch Swift’s new music video because she was busy backstage changing into another outfit for her hosting gig.

Many people gave updates about the music video while Perry was changing and another source claimed that she might have already watched it after the MTV VMAs this year.

Perry not expecting to end feud with Swift at VMAs

Also, many speculated that she and Swift would end their feud at this year’s MTV VMAs. Perry expressed in a recent interview that she wanted to end her beef with the “Shake It Off” singer, but had not heard anything from Swift’s camp. The source claimed that this year's host knew beforehand that Swift would not attend the MTV VMAs so she was not disappointed when they did not see each other at the annual awards event.

In another interview back in June, Perry said that although they have fought, she still loved Swift.

Perry then expressed that she thinks it is already time to end the feud because “there are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world.”

Although Perry and Swift did not share the stage at the MTV VMAs, the source of E! News claimed that the “Roar” singer’s mindset remains the same because she wants the beef with Swift to be in the past as she is focused in the future.

When did drama start between the two?

The drama between Swift and Perry started in 2014 after the “Blank Space” singer told Rolling Stone that another pop star, who many believed is Perry although Swift never dropped names during the interview, tried to sabotage her concert by hiring the same back-up dancers. Later, Perry did confirm that three of the dancers from Swift’s tour left because they joined Perry’s "Prism World" Tour.

Perry said she tried to talk to Swift about it but the latter did not want to speak to her.
