Tennis champion Serena Williams and her fiance, internet entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian, don't have official confirmation of the sex of their baby yet - but they think it might be a girl. Speaking with Jimmy Kimmel on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Tuesday, Ohanian revealed that the couple thinks they might be expecting a little girl. 35-year-old Williams won the Australian Open whilst she was pregnant.
Ohanian told host Jimmy Kimmel that the mom-to-be reckons the baby is a girl because of "everything" it went through whilst Serena was competing in the championship.
Apparently, Williams thinks only a woman could show so much strength and still be fighting strong. Ohanian said that his fiancee's theory makes a lot of sense and that he was lucky enough to be brought up by a "strong amazing mother".
The couple's romance has caught the heart of many
According to Business Insider, Williams and Ohanian met in May 2015 at the Hotel Cavalieri Hilton in Rome. Ohanian allegedly went and sat at the table next to Williams' and the tennis star told him there was a rat to try and get him to move away. However, when that was unsuccessful, Williams invited him to sit next to her and her friends. The couple's first official date took place in June 2015, prior to the French Open, when Williams invited Ohanian to join her in Paris and they walked around the city for six hours before the tournament.
Ohanian and Williams have kept their relationship very private and did not post much on social media at the start of their relationship. However, at the US Open in September 2015, Ohanian shared a picture of Williams on his Instagram, referring to her as a "queen" in the caption. The Reddit co-founder told Vanity Fair in 2016 that he felt as though a door had been opened and Williams made him want to be the best version of himself.
Ohanian only starting appearing in Williams' Instagram feed in August 2016. She posted their first couple's picture together in November 2016 and in December, Ohanian proposed to the star at the place they first met.

During his interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Ohanian appeared to be ecstatic when discussing the couple's baby.
He said that seeing his fiancee go through pregnancy has only solidified how strong women are to him. He also joked to the host about how "useless" men are and how he feels like there's not much he can do at the moment except make food. Ohanian also spoke briefly about being behind the scenes for Williams' recent photo shoot with Vanity Fair. Williams will grace the magazine's cover for their August issue.
