Many fans consider Cersei Lannister to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest villain in "Game of Thrones." She blew up the Great Sept of Baelor with wildfire, burning hundreds of people alive in the process which drove Tommen, her last living son to suicide. And while many people thought that this would be a final nail in her coffin, Cersei seized all the power and crowned herself a Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, which is something she has always wanted.

But at what cost?

She lost all of her children, that way fulfilling a prophecy Maggy The Frog gave her when she was just a girl. You will have three children, the prophecy states, and gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds. The witch also said that Cersei would be Queen for a while and that soon will come another, younger and more beautiful to cast her down and take everything she holds dear.

A quick recap

In the season seven, instead of being broken by the deaths of her children and the upcoming threat of younger, more beautiful Queen, Cersei was ready to destroy all her enemies once again.

She forged an alliance with Euron Greyjoy which resulted in him destroying Yara's fleet and taking Elaria prisoner as a gift to Cersei. Then, her brother Jaime brought yet another victory by successfully anticipating the attack on Casterly Rock and slaying the Tyrell forces at Highgarden. But her joy didn't last long. The Loot Train Attack happened, and the Lannisters suffered first major loss as Drogon was burning everything that stood in his way. But even this battle that became known as the Field of Fire 2.0 wasn't enough to crush Cersei's hopes. After all, the Tyrell gold reached King's Landing and now she can pay her debt to the Iron Bank and hire the world's most famous sellswords, the Golden Company, with their word as good as gold.

Cersei's reveal

In "Eastwatch" we saw that the real reason for Cersei's optimism is her pregnancy, so it's no wonder she is so determined to continue to play the game of thrones. But she must play it smarter than ever because now, she has one big reason to do so. Cersei is one bitter woman, who has been living all her life under the shadow of a prophecy, but now, she sees a brighter future with a baby at her arms and Jaime by her side, and she is willing to do anything to make it happen

But then again, this is "Game of Thrones, " and we know that there are no happy endings especially for villains such as Cersei Lannister. Because there is one thing called karma and this woman has done more damage than anyone in the realm.

With Maggy the Frog prophecy in mind, she will not bear a living child, and in my opinion, that will drive her to madness. Perhaps she will once again use wildfire to burn cities to the ground, or perhaps turn her back on human kind in the battle against the dead.

How will Cersei go down?

Also, there's a theory that Cersei will even become the Night King's bride because of her cold breath we saw in the teaser for Season 7. You can see the clip below.

And taking a step further into tinfoil territory we could explain how this idea fits into the prophecy. The last part of the prophecy states that "valonqar" ( High Valyrian for little brother) shall wrap his hands around her pale white throat and choke the life from her.

While this might be just a figurative speech, "pale white throat" could mean that she will, at some point, become the Night Queen. In any case, Cersei Lannister is too important to be killed off in the next two episodes, so we are going to have to wait Season 8 to find out what the future has in store for her.
