"Game of Thrones" Season 7 Episode 2 featured one of the best battles show has ever had. The episode was titled "Stormborn," and we could see the storm being born in the form of Euron Greyjoy who established himself as the show's newest villain with this scene.
While watching this scene, I couldn't help but remember the line Euron said to his brother Balon on the swaying bridge just a few moments after he killed him. He said "I am the storm brother. When men see my sails, they pray." Well, in this scene, we could see the full extent of this saying as he butchered everyone on that ship, ripped out their tongues and took a few gifts so he can present them to his bride to be, Cersei Lannister.
What will happen to Euron in the next "Game of Thrones" episode?
Judging by the preview teaser for the next "Game of Thrones" episode, Euron will be parading the streets of King's Landing with a few aces up his sleeve. As we know, he captured Ellaria Sand, her daughter Tyene Sand and most importantly his niece, Yara Greyjoy. While some suggest that Euron was somehow poisoned in a fight with one of the Sand Snakes, I don't think that's going to be the way the King of the Iron Islands will go down. And he is going to present these gifts to Cersei.
How might the events play out?
According to the official synopsis for "The Queen's Justice" episode, Cersei will return the gift. Now, in my opinion, there are several options here.
First, Cersei will allow Euron to keep Yara as his prisoner while keeping Elaria Sand and her daughter for herself. My guess is that she will have the Mountain torture Tyene Sand in front of her mother's eyes before eventually killing them both as retribution for Myrcella's death.
As far as Yara Greyjoy is concerned, I think she will remain Euron's prisoner fulfilling the role of Aeron Damphair from the "Forsaken" - latest sample chapter from "The Winds of Winter." The chapter in we could see the full extent of Euron Greyjoy's psychopathic nature as he brutally tortured his brother Aeron both physically and psychologically.
So if that is the path the show is taking, things don't look for Yara.
However, there could be another meaning behind the "Cersei returns the gift" line. What if she is so thrilled because of these gifts that she decides to give Euron a gift of her own - a giant crossbow that kills dragons Qyburn presented her in the last episode.
Maybe this weapon will fulfill the role of Dragonbinder (a giant horn that binds dragons to one's will) that Euron possesses in the books. Fortunately, we don't have to wait long to see what will happen next as "Game of Thrones" Season 7 Episode 3 breaths of air in just three days.
