A few hours after "Property Brothers" star Drew Scott became the first confirmed member of the "Dancing With The Stars" 2017 lineup on Aug. 30, the show's official Twitter page dropped a huge hint regarding the identity of another popular pro's celebrity partner. So who does the intriguing image suggest could be two-time Mirrorball Trophy winner Val Chmerkovskiy's better dance half during season 25?

'DWTS' producers gave fans 'a hand'

The hint came in the form of a photograph of Val Chmerkovskiy holding the hand of an unseen woman. The text included teased "You asked us for a hint, so we'll give you a hand!"

Information previously leaked by PureDWTS claimed that the younger Chmerkovskiy's "Dancing with the Stars" 2017 partner would be a disabled person with an inspiring story.

Although there's no proof that the celebrity in question in an amputee, the tweet's emphasis on giving "a hand" suggests that she may be missing an appendage.

Some fans quickly speculated that the hand -- which is a right hand -- might belong to professional surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her left arm to a shark attack. One fan even created a photo collage to compare the arm in the photo with a picture of Hamilton. Although the pattern of a blemish or scar on the forearm appears to be similar to the one on the surfer's arm, it's difficult to tell for sure. Other names floated by fans include actress Aimee Mullins and Paralympic swimmer Victoria Arlen.

Other 'DWTS' cast teasers

Although Chmerkovskiy's photo is intriguing, it's not the only teaser image that's been posted to the official "Dancing with the Stars" Twitter page over the past few days.

Another image features season 19 pro champion Witney Carson looking up at her celebrity partner, whose identity is concealed by a giant ice cream cone.

A handful of other pro dancers have posted their own hints for fans to mull over as the Sept. 6 "Dancing with the Stars" 2017 cast announcement date nears. Among them is newly promoted pro Alan Bersten, who shared a photo of a pink bag, hair scrunchie, and shirt, along with the revelation that his partner's favorite color is pink.

According to PureDWTS, Bersten's partner is "older" but has potential, so the scrunchie could theoretically point to an '80s star.

So who will dance with whom? Who will begin the season as the front runner and who will rise to the top by season's end? Watch the premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" 2017 Sept. 18 on ABC to see who impresses the picky panelists and who falls short of the mark.
