When "Dancing With The Stars" 2017 begins Sept. 18 on ABC, the new cast of celebrity contestants will hit the ballroom to strut their stuff for America's votes for the very first time. Although show producers don't confirm or deny casting rumors, an Aug. 25 leak to People claimed that the husband and wife duo of 98 Degrees' Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Lachey were both planning to take part in season 25. Just 18 hours later, Twitter's @putUincespence --who is behind the popular "DWTS" fan site PureDWTS and has connections to production-- filled in another piece of the puzzle when she shared the identities of the Lacheys' professional dancer partners.

The Chmerlachey Showdown comes to 'DWTS'

Per the tweet, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey will split up to team up with the only other married couple in the competition: Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The latter pair, who own a total of three Mirroball Trophies between them, including two for Murgatroyd and one for Chmerkovskiy, tied the knot during a fairy tale-worthy wedding at Long Island's Oheka Castle on July 8. Like the Lacheys, who have three children, the Chmerkovskiys are parents: son Shai was born in early January.

Other rumored contestants for the "Dancing with the Stars" 2017 season include "Property Brothers" star Drew Scott, "Total Divas" personality Nikki Bella, and potentially "The Bachelor" franchise alum Corinne Olympios, who told Extra on Aug.

25 that she's "not against" the idea of taking a spin around the ballroom floor.
