International pop singer Ariana Grande canceled her Vietnam concert show on Wednesday, reportedly because of health problems. The 24-year-old singer announced her decision to forego the concert to follow the doctor’s orders via her Instagram account.
The singer is currently holding her “Dangerous Woman Tour,” the third world tour promoting the songs from her recent album. The Vietnam leg of her tour was scheduled to start August 23. She previously held performances in August in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines.
“My Vietnam babes, I apologize from the bottom of my heart by I am currently dealing with health problems.
I came to Vietnam, looking forward to performing, but my physician did not allow me to perform for you tonight,” Grande wrote on her Instagram account.
Sources told Page Six that her doctor advised her to take a 48-hour rest to recover. Right now, there are no official updates on the diagnosis.
Thunderstorms, heavy rains
During her performances in Bangkok, Thailand, and Manila in the Philippines, the singer went on with her concert despite heavy rains. The Southeast Asian region is presently dealing with consecutive tropical storms and typhoons.
It was previously reported that during her Manila concert, there were thunderstorms and heavy rains around the vicinity of the arena where the performance was held.
Local weather forecasts revealed that there were moderate rains predicted during the night of Grande’s concert.
When she performed in South Korea, fans criticized her for showing an attitude on stage. Previous reports revealed that she arrived at the capital city of Seoul a day late, causing the meet-and-greet affair to be canceled.
Unexpected event
Apparently, another unexpected event happened just as she was about to perform in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The “Be Alright” singer added in her post that she would make it up to her Vietnamese fans in the future, and thanked them for understanding her condition.
Her next set of performances is set for China.
There are three concerts lined up in various cities around the East Asian country. On August 26, she was able to perform at the LeSports Center in Beijing. In Shanghai, her tour will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on August 28. In Guangzhou, it will be held at the Guangzhou Sports Arena on August 30.
This September, she is headed for Australia and New Zealand to continue her “Dangerous Woman Tour.” The tour followed her previous concert series in 2015, “The Honeymoon Tour.”
