Supermodel and A-list celebrity Kendall Jenner is recently chosen as the newest Adidas brand ambassador for one of their campaigns, E! Online reported.
The entertainment website chose the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star to be part of their “Original Is Never Finished” campaign, with other personalities such as James Harden, Young Thug, Playboi Carti and 21 Savage.
She has been recently featured on a video advertisement of the popular brand, apparently playing the mythological figure Venus according to Daily Star.
Dismayed fans
However, avid Adidas fans were dismayed with Jenner being picked as the star of the new campaign.
They told Daily Star that the brand should have chosen a professional athlete, instead of a supermodel.
One Adidas fan said in the report, “Adidas should have selected another person for their campaign. But I love Kendall, she is hot and tall.”
Another fan of the brand expressed his thoughts by saying that the company should have chosen an athletic individual instead of “someone who gets the body from surgeons.”
Kendall Jenner and Adidas
E! News Online reported that it is the first time Jenner would be part of an Adidas campaign.
The video campaign began with an inverted view, and was flipped over to reveal the supermodel inside a glass capsule. She was shown wearing a sexy crop top, a daring bottom, and a pair of Adidas footwear.
The campaign was created in a very artistic way, exuding scientific fiction vibes. There were depictions of Botticelli’s “Birth Of Venus” artwork and Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Vitruvian Man.” There were also scenes that appeared very futuristic, as the supermodel remained lying inside the glass case.
The Adidas campaigned also played a remixed version of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.” There were scenes filmed in the desert with go-carts, basketball player Harden against a background of cold liquid and ice, and a re-imagined version of the Status of Liberty.
There were also depictions of golden blazers and other stunning wardrobe, including images of the Egyptian phoenix. The video also had clips inside what seemed to be a parking lot and an athlete dribbling a ball.
Jenner’s sexy Adidas attire was featured in the video that runs for around a minute and a half. It was shown how the A-list celebrity transformed from her cropped white shirt and Originals toward a more athletic figure, wearing black sports outfit. Then, she was laid down amid a giant figure of crown-shaped art.
