Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) might have a very difficult family, but she might still have a decent kin around. As her mother Katarina Rostova (Lotte Verbeek) is now gone and she just recently knows that her biological father is Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader), she might be having a hard to fathom everything that is going around her.

There is even another theory that Red is just an impostor and not his real dad. With all these happening to her, there might be someone out there who cares for her, and this is his grandfather Dom (Brian Dennehy), although they haven’t seen each other yet.

Liz and Dom’s possible meeting

Dom is considered to be an interesting character that Reddington talks about at times, Carter Matt reported.

However, little details are just known about him. Also, it is not revealed if he is going to play a major role in the life of Liz or they will see each other in the coming “The Blacklist” Season 5. But in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show’s executive producer Jon Bokenkamp teased that he could finally meet his granddaughter.

“I love Brian Dennehy so yes I hope to see more of him,” he told EW. Dom and Liz haven’t met yet. Thus fans haven’t seen them together. “So that’s obviously a scene I’d love to write,” he added. However, Bokenkamp hoped that Red wouldn't be there when they meet so that they could talk freely.

The impostor theory

Moreover, Inquisitr reported that there are ongoing speculations that the Red fans see today is fake, and the real one is already dead. This might be the new shocker “The Blacklist” Season 5 is going to feature.

To recall, Liz learned that Red is her biological father. However, some fans see the lie behind this knowing that the genetic sample used in the DNA results is allegedly taken ten years ago.

The criminal mastermind is believed to be killed, and an impostor might have taken his place, acting like him.

As he has a lot of secrets, fans are quite suspicious of his personality. The suspicions grow bigger when he rushed to the farm and filled the mysterious suitcase with skeletons. However, in another interview with EW, Jon Bokenkamp addressed the issue about the fake Red.

He admitted that a lot of fans believe the impostor theory. “I can't deny that that all still adds up and is one of the theories that makes [sic] sense,” he revealed. However, although he finds it cool, he is still asking for guidance so he could understand it more, especially that it is one of the assumptions swirling on their fan base.

“The Blacklist” Season 5 will return on Oct. 4 on NBC.
