Phaedra Parks sent shockwaves through “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta” community this past spring when she was caught in a lie. She had hinted that her co-star Kandi Burruss wanted to drug her friend Porsha Williams with the goal of having sex with her. She had then told Williams that this was the case and Williams had sought out legal help to defend herself and protect her reputation.

But it sounds like Phaedra may have made up the lie for the sake of protecting her relationship with her friend. Fans were completely shocked and Phaedra did nothing to defend herself when she was confronted with the news on “The Real Housewives of Atlantareunion special, which aired this past spring.

Andy Cohen was even shocked to hear that the entire storyline had been false.

Andy doesn't know if Parks is filming the show

After the reunion special aired, Parks decided to keep her distance from the spotlight. She chose to focus on her sons and she decided to issue a vague statement to People Magazine, saying that things happen for a reason. Many people speculated that she would not be returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” because she may have broken parts of her contracts. Phaedra is a lawyer so she may realize what some of the consequences are for saying things that are not true, especially when it comes to people’s repetition and businesses.

Of course, Andy Cohen doesn't decide who gets to return to the show and some of the ladies are already filming “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for the upcoming season. NeNe Leakes has announced that she's returning. However, when Andy Cohen was asked questions on Twitter over the weekend about Phaedra, he revealed that he had no idea whether not she would return to the show in any capacity.

Could she pull the plug herself?

Perhaps Parks is still thinking about whether or not she should return at all, as many fans are calling for her to be fired. He may not be the one who's making all decisions, or he may not want to be the one that breaks the news that Phaedra is indeed returning to the show.

One has to wonder what Phaedra is thinking since she was caught lying about such a big deal.

Kandi has revealed that she was completely shocked to learn that Parks was making up rumors about her. She knew that they were no longer friends and that they weren't getting along, but she had no idea that her former friend would stoop so low to make her look bad.

Kandi felt completely vindicated after the truth came out, but Phaedra Parks chose to go into hiding from the spotlight and the paparazzi for a while to deal with the consequences of her actions. People called her out on social media, and some even called for her children to be removed, because she had lied about something so serious. Many compared her to her ex-husband, Apollo Nida, who is serving 8 years in jail for fraud.

It will be interesting to see whether or not Parks decide to return to the show.

Williams has revealed that they are no longer good friends and she's questioning whether or not it's worth it for her to stay friends with Parks.

What do you think about Andy Cohen’s tweet about not knowing whether Phaedra Parks is returning to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta?” Do you think he's just avoiding the truth or answering the question honestly because he doesn't want to be the one who breaks the news to viewers?
