Phaedra Parks was caught in a major lie on the previous season “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” During the reunion special, Phaedra was caught, as it was revealed that she was the one behind the rape rumor that involved both her friend Porsha Williams and her former friend Kandi Burruss.

Kandi learned that Phaedra kept telling her co-stars that Kandi was the one who told her that she wanted to drug Porsha Williams for the sake of having sex with her. While the rumor may just have been a joke, Kandi reminded everybody that drugging someone for the sake of having sex with them is called rape and that this could ruin her entire reputation.

Phaedra didn't admit to her lie but she was clearly stunned that she had been caught during the reunion special. After the reunion aired, Parks decided to issue a statement to People magazine, saying that things happen for a reason. This is all that she’s said about the situation.

The rape lie could have gotten her fired

This weekend, Andy Cohen revealed that he wasn't even sure whether or not Phaedra was going to be filming the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Many fans called for her to be fired because they were completely shocked that she would make up such a lie for the sake of ratings and for the sake of looking like an innocent, supportive friend.

Since Andy doesn't know whether or not Phaedra will actually return to the show, it sounds like she could be busy doing something else.

Even though she stayed away from social media for a while after being caught in the lie, it sounds like she really wants to rebuild her relationship with her fans.

She has tried to rebuild her brand by talking more with people, responding to tweets, and even sharing pictures from her life -- including with her sons, and this week, Phaedra Parks was caught flirting with a fan, after said fan revealed that he had a crush on the reality star.

Is the innocent flirting enough to keep viewers happy?

It sounds like things are actually going quite well for Parks these days even though some people do not want to see her back on the show. Bravo producers may question whether it's the right thing to bring her back on the show. One can imagine that Porsha Williams wants to keep her distance from her former friend, as she may not trust her anymore.

What do you think about Phaedra Parks flirting with fans on Twitter? Do you think she should return to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta"?
