Even before the fifth season got released, Netflix already renewed “Orange Is The New Black” to have Season 6 and Season 7. Hence, there will be a lot of twist and turn of events fans are going to looking forward to.
The previous season finale has left a lot of questions that viewers are waiting to be answered in the new installment. One of it is the death of Thomas Humphrey (Michael Torpey), Dayanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco) will be the one who is being condemned, although she is not the main culprit.
The 6th season’s spoilers
Maureen Kukudio (Emily Althaus) is the one who created the air bubble to Thomas Humphrey’s IV bag that caused his stroke that ultimately led to his death.
In “Orange is the New Black” Season 6, there is a big possibility that the inmates in Litchfield Penitentiary will be divided into two prisons because of the riot. Some prisoners might also be inside the maximum security prison that will give a new twist to the series, Inquisitr reported.
Tiffany Doggett (Taryn Manning) and Mei Chang (Lori Tan Chinn) managed to escape the riot with the help of the hole that Maria Ruiz (Jessica Pimentel) created. This, too, had helped other hostages that got stuck in the middle of the mutiny. However, it seems like they will be caught anytime and Doggett might voluntarily turn herself because of the prison guard she is currently seeing.
Other things that will be happening in “OITNB” Season 6 are the convicts and the prison review board alike will be also giving their reactions and ramifications over the death of Desi Piscatella (Brad William Henke).
Also, Lorna Morello (Yael Stone) will be having a baby, thus her relationship with Vince Muccio (John Magaro) and Nicky Nichols (Natasha Lyonne) is going to improve.
A look back to the previous season
Moreover, “Orange is the New Black” Season 6 will be featuring the results and the consequences of the riot that happened in the previous season.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Natasha Lyonne revealed that they are not sure what will happen next season as they don’t get to see the new script yet. “We don't know if all of our characters die,” she said. She also added that they don’t have any idea if someone is set to die or there will be somebody they have to kill.
To recall, the previous season finale revealed a deafening explosion after the riot police went inside the Litchfield prison. This happened after the failed effort of the management to negotiate with the inmates. At the end of the final episode, 10 major prisoners were seen standing all together showing their unity, in spite of their differences.
