According to the news outlet, fans might witness Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore in the imminent fifth season of the popular “TVD” spinoff series.
Speculations about the possible reunion of Dobrev and Somerhalder sparked after Julie Plec confirmed that some of the original “The Vampire Diaries” cast might do a crossover in the spin-off's incoming fifth installment. Avid followers of the former lovers are expecting to witness the romance of Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore once again as they join the Mikaelsons’ adventures.
While a few reports suggested that the reunion might not happen because of their bitter past, several fans are confident that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are totally on good terms, which increases the chances of their reunion in “The Originals” Season 3.
As a matter of fact, Dobrev and Somerhalder have debunked all the rumors stating that they have bad blood by posting a photo together with Nikki Reed.
