There were several speculations that surfaced online regarding “NCIS” Season 15. Mark Harmon is one of the hot-topics actors that star in the police procedural drama. In recent months, he was rumored to depart the CBS series due to health reasons as reportedly advised by his doctors. However, there was no solid basis for this report and fans have been wondering whether his character, Leroy Jethro Gibbs is actually leaving his current post for a job promotion. Michael Weatherly previously said that he can see his character, Anthony DiNozzo and other stars including Cote de Pablo’s Ziva David pop into the series when the time is right.
Is Mark Harmon really making an exit from the series?
Since Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly left the show, fans were traumatized because everyone knows that CBS has a way of cutting off some major characters, and replacing them with new ones. It only makes sense that fans should worry about the other remaining main characters and hope that they too don't leave the series all of a sudden. Mark Harmon is one example. When CarterMatt suggested that the actor’s Leroy Jethro Gibbs might get a job promotion, many fans already felt the fear that it’s possible for him to depart the show soon. On the plus side, this doesn’t necessarily mean that he is really leaving the series.
One reason that suggests Harmon is not leaving the show is that he might have a love interest in “NCIS” Season 15.
His alleged new beau is named Reagan. Apparently, he will not have a good relationship with Reagan at first but eventually, they will both find each other as a couple. This seems to mean that Gibbs is certainly not departing the series contrary to some reports. Another reason is that he was apparently well enough in the last season, which suggests that his health is not a thing that everyone should worry about.
After all, he is one of the fan-favorite characters that have stayed in the series all along and it would be great to keep it that way.
Expected air date
CBS renewed “NCIS” Season 15 in February 2016. The previous season aired in September 2016, so it’s possible that the upcoming installment will premiere in September 2017.
