“NCIS” Season 15 release date is yet to be announced but fans are looking forward to seeing the series again in September. A few major characters including Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pablo and Jennifer Esposito have left the show. Following the major characters exit, fans are still hoping that they will soon make a comeback to the series especially DiNozzo and David’s love story. However, rumors are rife that another main character might soon leave the show due to health reasons.

Theories have it that Mark Harmon, 65, who plays as Leroy Jethro Gibbs might leave after “NCIS” Season 15 to give more time to his health.
It is said that his doctors advised him to rest for a while so he can focus more on his health. According to CarterMatt, the actor might just choose to “move on or go in a lesser direction” as the series has already hinted that he might get a job promotion. This could mean that he might be out in the picture if it’s anything that’s more important than his career such as his health.
Meanwhile, many fans are now wondering whether Michael Weatherly will return in “NCIS” Season 15 with Cote de Pablo. Last month, the actor hinted that he can see his character with others possibly popping up in the series at the right time. He said that he will “never say never” when it’s needed for him to make a comeback to the show and will not hesitate to do more action as much as he can.
His character has been one of the fan-favorites in the show and his return will certainly shake the entire fan base especially if he will be reunited with de Pablo. He previously said that they both shared great chemistry on screen and his exit from the show also stemmed from de Pablo’s departure.
Recently, Jennifer Esposito also left the show, leaving fans to get disappointed as many of them were looking forward to seeing her character, Alex Quinn in “NCIS” Season 15.
However, it seems that she expected this to happen and even said that it’s something that has been premeditated. Her departure certainly scared a lot of fans as CBS is known for cutting major characters off the show and replacing it with new actors. Hopefully, she will be the last major character to leave the series.

“NCIS” Season 15 air date has not been announced. However, it might return in September 2017. Season 14 premiered in September 2016. So, it’s possible that the next installment will also premiere in the same month.
