Fans can now celebrate as it has been confirmed that “NCIS” Season 15 has already been filming new episodes amid the reports claiming that the show had been canceled. Reports have it that Mark Harmon would no longer be reprising his role as special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, but spoilers are telling otherwise.

Agent Gibbs signing off after the fifteenth installment?

The Inquistr reported that Mark Harmon would, possibly, not be visible in the imminent “NCIS” Season 15 anymore. According to the news outlet, the 65-year-old actor’s deteriorating health could prevent him from reprising his much-loved role.

Speculations suggest that Harmon is likely leaving the popular CBS show since he can no longer do action scenes properly because of his advanced age. Other claims say that the veteran actor’s character would be having a lot of changes in the coming season such as having lesser field work.

An unnamed source previously claimed the "NCIS" lead actor had already talked to his wife, Paw Dawber, about his plan to leave the show after the fifteenth installment. The insider added that Mark Harmon has become lethargic lately as he started holing up inside his home than doing sports or other outdoor activities.

The same source added that Harmon had lost a lot of energy lately, which is very strange for him who is known to be sporty.

Because of this, followers of the “NCIS” Season 15 lead actor theorized that he might decide to quit showbiz very soon.

However, Blasting News had debunked these claims already as Mark Harmon would remain as the lead character of the highly-popular CBS series. As a matter of fact, as a special agent, Leroy Jethro Gibbs is said to find a new leading lady in the imminent fifteenth installment.

Pauley Perrette confirms filming the fifteenth season

Meanwhile, Pauley Perrette has taken to Twitter to confirm that the cast and crew are now working on the “NCIS” Season 15. In her post, the 48-year-old American actress has attached a photo of her holding the boots that she would be wearing in the next installment.

Aside from that, Perrette has also revealed that she would be sporting her much-loved bangs after getting a haircut, CarterMatt shared.

It remains unclear if Abby Sciuto would be playing a vital role in the lives of special agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Timothy McGee, who are yet to survive the ordeal in Paraguay.

CBS is predicted to start airing “NCIS” Season 15 in Fall 2017. Aside from Mark Harmon and Abby Sciuto, other stars who are expected to reprise their roles include Sean Murray and Margo Harshman. Stay tuned for more spoilers, news, and updates!
