It seems that the next trailer for the "Justice League" live-action movie will likely feature the return of Superman and the cinematic appearance of the main villain, Steppenwolf.

San Diego Comic-Con appearance

DC Comics and Warner Bros. has been showcasing several "Justice League" related merchandise and toys in this year's San Diego Comic-Con event, as many comic book fans and enthusiasts were able to see a new figurine of Superman for the movie courtesy of Hot Toys.

The Man of Steel is sporting a brighter colored version of his Kryptonian suit in the "Justice League." Previous versions of the suit from "Man of Steel" and "Batman V Superman" films sported a darker tone in line with director Zack Snyder's take on the character, but this time Kal-El's new outfit could likely signify a more "hopeful" Superman like the ones presented in the comic books.

There are also other Hot Toys figurines for the rest of the members of JLA like Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman. The toy figures of Steppenwolf have been leaked online prior to SDCC 2017, showing a more in-depth look at the film antagonist's armor and weapons.

With that being said, can DC fans expect both Superman and Steppenwolf in the next "Justice League" trailer at SDCC 2017?

The past trailers featured Batman and Wonder Woman recruiting the three metahuman heroes as they prepare for the coming invasion of Apokolips as they seek all three Mother Boxes that were hidden on earth. Steppenwolf will lead Darkseid's army to earth and several rumors about Superman hinted that he will have a black version of his suit with mullet and bearded look.

S.T.A.R. Labs added in the film

Twitter username Connor Behrens tweeted a new image of "Justice League" film featuring Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash in an unknown location. Judging from the high-tech machines and red color scheme, fans have speculated to be a facility from S.T.A.R. Labs and three heroes are trying to recruit Cyborg into the team.

S.T.A.R. Labs has been featured in several DC related media from "Superman" and "Justice League" animated series to the live-action "The Flash" TV series from CW Network. It is no surprise that S.T.A.R Labs is added in the film, given that Cyborg's father, Silas Stone works there and tries to revive his son using every advance technology on the planet and a Mother Box.

Warner Bros. is expected to debut the new "Justice League" trailer during a highly-anticipated panel at Hall H in SDCC 2017 this Saturday, eager fans are excited to see if Superman and Steppenwolf will show up in the movie.

"Justice League" is set to premier on Nov. 17.
