It looks like fans of ABC's medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" aren't the only ones excited about the new season. ET wrote on Saturday 22 July that in an Instagram post, Camilla Luddington and Giacomo Gianniotti both revealed the new season's first ever table read.

Apparently, they too are excited to start the season. While Luddington who plays the character of Jo Wilson only posted her name card alongside Jessica Capshaw's "Arizona Robbins," Gianniotti's post revealed much more that has everything to do the new season's script.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 14's first episode is entitled "Break down the House." Written by Krista Vernoff and directed by Debbie Allen, the preparation dates started on July 20, 2017, and is expected to end on July 28, 2017.

Meanwhile, it's also interesting to know that the first day of the shoot will be on July 31, 2017, and ends on August 10, 2017. While details of the first episode have not yet been revealed, according to ETOnline, it's likely that the story will start with the lives of the firefighters who responded to the Grey Sloan Memorial hospital.

ABC's take on the new "Grey's Anatomy" season 14

President of ABC Entertainment Channing Dungey, on the hand, expressed his confidence in showrunner Shonda Rhimes through "interweaving" the story of the firefighters against their personal struggles. His statement came alongside the announcement of the all new "Grey's Anatomy" season 14 show. Rhimes, who is the executive producer of the show had her share of cast wanting to leave the show.

At the end of season 13, Jerrika Hinton who plays Stephanie Edwards requested to leave the show, citing the need to explore other opportunities as the reason for leaving. Rhimes accommodated the request saying that she supported the actress' decision and wished her luck on her new projects. In season 12, Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie Torres also opted out on the new season after the current one concluded.

Rhimes said she loved Ramirez and wished her good things when she left.

Cast of 'Grey's Anatomy' who left the show

Hinton and Ramirez weren't the only ones who left the show. One of the most notable departures were those of Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight. Heigl made headlines when she released a statement saying that she did not have the right materials in "Grey's Anatomy" to warrant an Emmy nomination.

Other cast members who left the show include Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, and Sandra Oh. Meanwhile, a former cast member is expected to return for the new season and it's none other than Kim Raver, who will reprise her role as Dr. Teddy Altman.
