A couple of days before the highly anticipated television premiere of “Games of Thrones” Season 7, tons of spoilers, plot details and cast revelations have already made rounds online. Some interesting reports hinted the possible deaths, the potential ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and Gendry’s comeback.
The seventh installment of the hit HBO drama is set to make its TV debut on July 16. Unfortunately, it will be the shortest season ever as it will only consist of seven episodes, instead of the usual 10. The latest season, which will conclude on Aug.
27, will mostly follow an original content that is not included in “A Song of Ice and Fire” series by George R. R. Martin.
“Game of Thrones’” penultimate season will also introduce some new cast members like Tom Hopper and Jim Broadbent, who will portray the roles of Dickon Tarly and Archmaester Marwyn respectively. The latest season will also follow Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) as they prepare for war.
Possible deaths
“GOT” is known for merciless and tragic deaths, bloody battles and NSFW sex scenes. So, it won’t really be surprising if the upcoming season will contain these elements.
Based on the predictions, there’s a possibility that Cersei, Jorah, Melisandre, The Mountain, The Hound, Euron, Tormund Giantsbane, will meet their demise in Season 7.
Since Cersei Lannister is a complicated and despicable character, her death could be a “perfect choice” for the season.
Moreover, Jorah’s death could also be a possibility as he seeks for a cure for greyscale, which is a term for leprosy in the “GOT” realm. Melisandre could also be a good choice since she only has performed a single decent deed by raising Jon from the dead.

Deserving Iron Throne heir
Another interesting part of “Game of Thrones” season 7 is the battle over the most deserving owner of the Iron Throne who will rule the Seven Kingdoms.
Jon Snow has a strong claim to the throne after becoming a King in the North and being the son of Rhaegar Targaryen, King Aerys II’s rightful heir and Daenerys’ eldest brother.
Apart from Snow, Cersei, whose ascension to power was only short-lived, is among the strong contenders for the Iron Throne. Daenerys Targaryen also possesses a rightful claim to the throne as the last remaining child of King Aerys II. Moreover, Sansa Stark and Gendry are also predicted to stake a claim as Seven Kingdoms’ ruler.
Gendry’s return
As the first episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 7 titled, “Dragonstone,” premiered in Los Angeles for some selected viewers on Wednesday, some information about the show has been revealed.
Even though plot revelations are forbidden, several spoilers still flooded and one of which is the confirmation of Gendry’s (Joe Dempsie) comeback.
Gendry, who is the heir to the Iron Throne, is reportedly making a reappearance but it wasn’t revealed in which episode fans will see his comeback. Meanwhile, the seventh season is not the only short run for the HBO drama since its finale season, “Game of Thrones” Season 8, is only comprised of six episodes.
