The appearance of singer Ed Sheeran in the "Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 1" was not so unwelcoming for the fans of the famous award winning TV series. Sheeran was seen having a meal under a tree with his fellow soldiers; he was singing a medieval song for his fellow fighters' entertainment as Arya Stark passed them by on her horse.

The young Stark joined the soldiers' meal at their invitation and Sheeran uttered a line or two in the conversation. The show's fans were not so forgiving of Sheeran's presence as his popularity as a singer must have distracted the essence of what "Game of Thrones" is all about, according to critics of the TV series.
