Selena Gomez just recently celebrated her birthday. However, her boyfriend, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye or known professionally as The Weeknd, was not around to join the “It Ain’t Me” singer on her special day. According to a report, the 27-year-old Canadian singer was seen hanging out with a model.
Did Abel cheat?
According to a gossip website, Irish Mirror, Ava Van Rose partied with The Weeknd ahead of the Canadian singer’s performance at the Longitude Festival on July 22. The Irish model is already known for hanging out with popular rappers, like Drake, whom she also partied with before his Ireland show last few months ago.
The Irish model reportedly met the crew of Abel while she was on tour with Drake.
An alleged source revealed that the Canadian singer and producer invited Ava, including her friends to join his crew at the Westbury Hotel on a Friday night. The model was then allegedly star-struck after she was being introduced to Gomez’s boyfriend, whom she described before as her ultimate crush.
“She knew all The Weeknd’s entourage from earlier in the year, and they stayed in touch on Instagram and wanted to meet up for Longitude,” an insider reportedly said.
While Abel was out partying with a model girl, Selena Gomez spent her birthday with her close friends. Gomez had an intimate birthday celebration filled with loved ones.
The 25-year-old singer shared a photo on her Instagram account of her sitting on a kitchen table surrounded by white and blue balloons, along with some birthday cakes. She captioned the photo by thanking everyone who showered her with so much love.
The Weeknd surprises his girlfriend
Despite the distance, The Weeknd and Selena Gomez were reported to have reunited the day after the “Bad Liar” singer’s birthday.
According to a source by E! News, the duo went on a date on Sunday. The couple was spotted having a lunch date together in Los Angeles.
Earlier on Sunday, July 23, the couple were spotted together wearing off-duty ensembles. Selena Gomez wore a white tank top and comfy pants with white shoes while The Weeknd opt for a black jacket, pants, and slides.
Meanwhile, another online magazine website added that the award-winning singer is planning to spoil his lover to make up for missing her special day. He reportedly hired a private chef and allegedly plans to fill up a dining room with candles and roses. He also reportedly plans to shower Gomez with gifts. With this, some fans said that the couple seemed far from calling it quits.
