"Dancing With The Stars" pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are finally married. The longtime couple, who share one child together, said their vows in a lavish ceremony over the weekend. According to Us Weekly, the "DWTS" pair looked amazing and happier than ever as they said their I do's at Oheka Castle in Huntington, New York.
Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd make it official
Maks called the wedding to his fellow "Dancing With The Stars" cast member "everything" that he had ever dreamed of, while Peta revealed she thought the wedding was the "party of the year." Chmerkovskiy and Murgatroyd's 6-month-old son, Shai, was carried down the aisle by Peta's mother, who then watched her daughter say her marriage vows in a couture ball gown and high heels that she bought during her very first trip to the Ukraine, where Maks is from.
Peta's famous bridal party revealed
Peta Murgatroyd came down the aisle to the sound of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, revealing that since she danced ballet for 16 years the album is her "favorite." Peta also had some very famous bridesmaids for her big day. The group included fellow "Dancing With The Stars" dancer, Sharna Burgess, her former "DWTS" partner, and past winner, Nyle DiMarco, and Rumer Willis, who partnered with Val and won, during Season 20 of the ABC dancing series. Val also served as his brother Maks' best man for the ceremony.
An 'epic' dance party followed
Maks and Peta penned their own vows at the wedding, which was non-denominational and lasted for about 40 minutes. Later, nearly 300 guests entered the ballroom, which was covered in white flowers to have had a five-course meal and enjoy the 15-person band.
With all of the dancers in attendance, it seems safe to say that after dinner the dance floor was on fire. Before the wedding, Maks predicted that the reception would be an "epic" dance party, and get pretty "wild."
Another 'DWTS' wedding on the same day
Meanwhile, another big "Dancing With The Stars" wedding was held on the very same day.
"DWTS" judge, and former dancer, Julianne Hough, also got married on Saturday. The dancer/actress/singer/judge married professional hockey player Brooks Laich in an elegant ceremony in Idaho.
Their wedding was held outdoors among the wild plants and seasonal foliage. Laich had told People Magazine that since Julianne and he was "adventurous and free" that they wanted their nuptials to be set in nature to reflect their personalities.
