Christina El Moussa was all smiles when she was spotted enjoying the Independence Day holiday with her new guy, Doug Spedding, in Newport. The "Flip or Flop" host channeled a black and white striped bikini and a pair of visors, while the business tycoon went casual in dark blue shirt matched with a pair of swim shorts and slippers.

The two enjoyed the California sun while lounging on Christina's boat she renamed as Bad Decisions from Flips or Flops. This is not the first time the two were seen cozying up on her luxurious vessel. Just a few weeks ago, the female host stepped out with her new beau for an afternoon date in Newport Beach.

They were also seen dining at a local restaurant a few days after their relationship was made public. Doug Spedding is Christina's first public relationship after she and Tarek El Moussa announced that they were going separate ways last year.

Get to know the new guy

Doug Spedding is a 55-year-old businessman from Orange County who has known Christina for ten years. Earlier reports claimed that the two even dated at some point before the female "Flip or Flop" host found love in Tarek.

His rekindled romance with the TV personality came to light last month but a source claimed that the two have been seeing each other for a couple of weeks before their relationship was made public. Christina has also introduced her new beau to her kids, Taylor (6) and Brayden (1), and even informed her ex-husband about it.

Meanwhile, Tarek was alleged to have been "acting out" after learning that his former lover has already found herself a new guy. An insider claimed the male host "has always had a sense of jealousy" over Christina's previous connection with Doug Spedding.

"He's been spending time with young, attractive women," the source added.

It added that the father-of-two could not accept the fact that his ex-wife has finally moved on from their failed marriage. Tarek, however, denied that he is jealous of Christina's relationship with Doug Spedding. He even emphasized that he does not want her back.

What went wrong between Tarek and Christina?

The "Flip or Flop" hosts were married for six years before they confirmed their split in December. The El Moussas, just like any other couples, were faced with challenges in their marriage which eventually led to the separation. Regardless of what happened, the two have decided to continue working with each other for the HGTV series.

In fact, recently released behind-the-scene photos of "Flip or Flop" showed that all is well between the two on the set. Tarek was even caught goofing around while Christina laughed at her.
