More than a week ago, Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington died after committing suicide. His widow released a lengthy statement as to what she feels and what she plans to do with their family after her husband’s passing. Talinda Bennington said that they had a fairytale life but it now turned into “some sick Shakespearean tragedy.”
The statement was given to the publication Rolling Stone and Talinda said she lost her soulmate who was also a hero to their children. She went on to ask how she will move on from this tragedy and how she will pick up her shattered soul.
Talinda Bennington plans to focus on taking care of kids
According to People, Talinda and Chester have been married since 2006. They have three children together, Tyler and their twin daughters Lilly and Lila. Aside from the three children they share, Chester also has three other children from his previous relationships, Jaime, Isaiah, and Draven.
The 40-year-old model said that the only answer she knows as to how she will move on is to raise their children “with every ounce of love I have left.” She then talked to the fans in her statement saying that with their help, they will keep Chester’s memory alive for their kids to relive.
Mother-of-three describes Chester
One of the few people who really knows Chester is his wife.
Talinda said that Chester was a bright and loving soul who had an angel’s voice. She believes that her late husband is now free from the pain and is singing his songs wherever he is now.
She encouraged the fans of her husband to turn to one another in this difficult time and wished everyone “God Bless.”
Chester dies before touring
Chester was found lifeless at his home in Palo Verdes Estates in California at around 9 a.m.
on July 20. The coroner’s office in the area confirmed earlier this week that Chester hanged himself from a bedroom door and confirmed that the singer’s cause of death was suicide by hanging. He and the other members of Linkin Park were scheduled to start their tour for their new album “One More Light.” The tour has been canceled.
Fans share theory on Chester’s death
Fans believed Chester planned his suicide. According to Mirror, Chester bought a house worth millions that was close to the finest public schools in the area. Fans think that he bought the house and made sure his family was all set before he was gone. Others noted that Chester died the same way as his close friend Chris Cornell, who died earlier this year. His family did not comment on this yet.
