Britney Spears, the 35-year old pop princess, was able to raise an amount of $1 million as her proceeds from "Piece of Me" ticket sales. The pop singer decided to raise the amount in order to help the Childhood cancer foundation in putting up their new facility. It has been believed that Spears was able to provide the foundation with a 16,000-square foot facility that will help about 45 pediatric and adult services or more.

Perhaps, if you happened to see Spears on her concert, then your money just went into a very good cause. To recall, the pop princess has recently performed in Nevada together with her other major sponsors, Zappos, Live Nation, and the Caesars Entertainment.

New facility

In one of her official statements, Spears addressed the fact that over the years, she had done anything that made her proud of her career. However, raising a good amount of money in providing a new facility to a new foundation has entirely made the pop princess proud and happy even more.

A report from Entertainment Tonight further shared that Spears has a great heart in helping the people who are sick most especially the children. She also added that helping the Childhood Cancer Foundation has deeply moved her and has given meaning to the journey that she has been into.

Meanwhile, Spears also revealed that she feels really close to the cancer patients since her aunt Sandra also died due to cancer.

She feels how devastating cancer is to the patient and to their loved ones. Hence, she didn't have a doubt in raising such funds for the foundation.

Facility's grand opening

At the height of her career, most of her fans and followers had praised her for such a great deed. Meanwhile, the pop princess also shared that she has plans to attend the grand opening of the Childhood Cancer Foundation facility.

It is believed that the entire new facility will be made functional by October this year.

Apart from her fundraising activities, Spears also made headlines recently when she had a live performance during her birthday concert in Singapore. After being accused of lip-syncing, the "Slumber Party" singer has proven the crowd of her great voice and talent in singing.

Further, Spears is also glad upon learning that she was able to help the cancer patients on her own way. The foundation will be named after the pop princess and it will be called "Britney Spears Campus." As of now, the foundation is yet to reveal the exact date of the facility opening.
