In February 2017, celebrity couple Beyonce and Jay Z officially announced that the Carter family was expanding as the "Crazy in Love" singer was pregnant with twins. The couple already shares one daughter, Blue Ivy, born in January 2012 but before that, the "Love on Top" singer suffered a miscarriage that left her broken. To cope up with the loss, she went back to writing music and shot a music video with her husband in Paris, where she unexpectedly got pregnant with their daughter. Last month, it was confirmed that she had given birth to the twins, whose names were just revealed earlier this month.

Today, the couple unveiled a photo of their twins in the cutest way possible.

The Carter Twins

The twins of Beyonce and Jay Z, Rumi and Sir Carter, turn one month old today and the couple showed off their twins through an Instagram post. The singer was photographed carrying the twins with gorgeous flowers behind them.She sported a long floral raffled-gown that extended past her legs. Her locks were let loose and they draped down to her shoulders. The twins looked too cute and adorable while sleeping in her arms. “Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today,” read the photo’s caption. Their arrival has increased the Carter household by two, making them a family of five.

Earlier reports from TMZ stated that on June 26 Beyonce and Jay Z filed legal documents to secure the rights to the twins’ names, Rumi and Sir Carter. The documents were filed by the same company that also filed Blue Ivy’s name in 2012.

The names of the twins were apparently inspired by a 13th-century Persian poet named Rumi, and Sir comes from one of his published poems back then. “Bring the pure wine of love and freedom. But sir, a tornado is coming,” reads the poem. “More wine, we'll teach this storm. A thing or two about whirling.”

The twins’ names that Beyonce and Jay Z filed for trademark are reportedly for baby needs.

This includes mugs, strollers, baby teething rings, key chains, hair ribbons, water bottles, tote bags, playing cards, novelty items, rattles, sports balls, cosmetics, and fragrances. These babies can make people so envious sometimes for getting trademarks in their names. These are indeed the perks of having wealthy parents.
