“Terminator 2: Judgment Day” is returning to cinemas this August, after being converted to 3D by James Cameron using new technology. With the release date approaching, a new poster and trailer for the film have been released. The teaser trailer features Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron talking about the movie.

According to James, a lot of people who have not seen “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” may get a chance to enjoy the film in 3D format.

Not only this but also the restored movie will be screened at AMC locations during its first week in cinemas.

They celebrate the 25th anniversary

Arnold and James are celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Terminator 2” over the summer. For the new version of the film, James Cameron has used 3D conversion mirrors. In 2012, the director released “Titanic” in 3D, which earned him over $345 million worldwide. This time, he is celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Terminator 2” with its fullest. James said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter that he was excited to release his movies in 2D and 3D versions.

We know that James departed the franchise after “Terminator 2,” but Arnold returned as T-800 in “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” in 2003. The actor decided to skip “Terminator: Salvation” in 2009, and then he was back in 2016’s hit “Terminator: Genisys.” But none of the follow-ups could recreate the magic as Jame’s first two movies did.

Distrib Films released a brand new trailer for “Terminator 2: 3D” last night. This teaser plays a bit more like a featurette as it is interspersed with James explaining why fans should watch the 3D version of the film.

The director says that since the movie was released twenty-five years ago, there’s an entire generation that has not experienced “Terminator 2” on the big screen.

James Cameron has joined hands with Stereo D, a famous 3D conversion house, to create an amazing 3D experience for fans.

It would not be wrong to say that “Terminator 2” is one of the best actions movies of all time. As we’re drowning in the late summer doldrums, it’s good to see a blockbuster on the big screen. Upon its release in 1991, the film topped the Box Office for the year with $200 million in the United States and another $310 million worldwide. According to Christopher Rosen from Movieline.com, “Terminator 2” grossed $52 million in its opening weekend.
