Angelina Jolie reveals need to focus on herself more

GC reports that Jolie, along with suffering from other health conditions, recently revealed she has Bell's palsy, a condition that makes one-half of her face droop.

Brad and Angie are both ready to move on with their lives

The mother of six is seen on the cover of this month's issue of Vanity Fair magazine.

During an interview with the magazine Angelina Jolie shared intimate details of her split with Brad Pitt, and raising six kids as a single mom. Jolie also opened up about her health. The actress told VF reporters that she is suffering from not only Bell's palsy, but also from hypertension. She went to explain how the viral infection caused temporary paralysis in her face. Luckily, she revealed that she recovered from the disorder.

Like many women Angie's age, 42, she stated that she puts her family first -- sometimes neglecting her own health. She claimed that since her diagnosis she has been undergoing acupuncture treatments and credits the acupuncture with helping to cure several of her health-related issues.

The actress admitted that she’s also developed dry skin and extra gray hair since she split with Pitt. “I can’t tell if it’s menopause or if it’s just been the year I’ve had,” she said. “I actually feel more of a woman because I feel like I’m being smart about my choices, and I’m putting my family first, and I’m in charge of my life and my health.

I think that’s what makes a woman complete.”

When asked about how the family has coped with the split, Jolie claimed that it has been a hard time for all, but they are all doing their best to heal.

She added that she has made a lot of changes and has been working harder at being a good homemaker, doing everyday chores such as cleaning up after the dog in the yard, and washing dishes.

For those unfamiliar with Bell's palsy, it is described as a condition that affects the muscles on one side of your face, causing it to droop or become stiff on that side. The condition is caused by trauma to the seventh cranial nerve. While it can occur in anyone, Web MD says that it is a more common occurrence in people who suffer from diabetes or are recovering from viral infections.

Most often, symptoms are only temporary and often confused with stroke symptoms. Most recently, studies have found evidence that suggests that the herpes simplex one virus (a common cause of cold sores) may be responsible for a large number of cases.

As previously reported, Brad and Angie have decided to put their past marital problems behind them.

They are both ready to move on with their lives and do everything they can to work together while raising their six children.

This is good news for all concerned considering just how ugly things were a few months ago.
