As of June 7, 2017, the Warner Bros. film has earned $14.2 million, becoming the second best Tuesday in June following “Jurassic World” ($25 million). Some critics say that “Wonder Woman” will gross at least $1.5 billion during its theoretical run.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the film’s average rating is 95% based on 504 reviews; and Metacritic has assigned it a score of 87 out of 100 based on 302 reviews.
Hopefully, “Wonder Woman” will improve its overall ratings in coming days as the film has become a box office sweetheart.
The sequel will take Diana to America
In May 2017, director Patty Jenkins revealed that she would develop a sequel to “Wonder Woman” which is likely to release in 2020. It means “Wonder Woman 2” will take Diana to the United States. This weekend has proved the importance of female superheroes in Hollywood industry.
