Adult Swim series finally coming back this week after hiatus?

iTechPost reported that the remaining “Rick and Morty” Season 3 episodes are going to be aired starting this week. According to the news outlet, the third installment is expected to make a return this summer even if Adult Swim has been keeping details under wraps.

Reports have it that some fans would have a chance to watch the live stream together with series co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland on Thursday, June 29. The same publication speculated that details of the up and coming episodes might be revealed on the same day.

While it is not possible that the second episode of the third season would be shown via a live stream, it should be noted that Adult Swim had not confirmed anything as of yet.

Moreover, the network has yet to announce the official return date of the popular animated series.

The third season’s first episode already aired in April. However, the management has shocked fans when it announced that the show would be taking a short break, which also sparked speculations that the series might be cancelled.

Cancellation rumors had intensified when Dan Harmon shared that he and Justin Roiland have been fighting, which later affected the production of the “Rick and Morty” Season 3 episodes. The creators also confessed that they have been encountering difficulties in writing the third installment’s storylines.

Creator finally explained delays, addressed cancellation rumors

Meanwhile, Slash Film has shared that Dan Harmon finally explained why the third season of “Rick and Morty” got delayed for a couple of times. Taking to Twitter, the co-creator of Justin Roiland has stated that it took them so long to write the third season as they want it to be more interesting than the first two seasons.

“It feels I think, to writers, sacrilegious and ineffective to open the creative process and poke and label,” Harmon has written on a tweet.

He, however, added that he and Roiland hadn’t been fighting at all but he said that they will make it up to their avid fans.

Dan Harmon assured fans that they will definitely love “Rick and Morty” Season 3 even if it has been delayed over and over again. The co-creator of Justin Roiland also thanked fans who have patiently waited for the third installment. Stay tuned for more updates!
