ABC renewed “Quantico” season 3, however, fans can expect a few changes. The Priyanka Chopra-led drama will o be returning to the small screen with only13 episodes. Moreover, Josh Safran, the creator, and showrunner of the show left the series.
Some fans were reportedly expecting that the show would end after the second season. As per the TV Guide, the show continued to hit lower viewership ratings despite network's effort to reschedule the show. Its DVR ratings only averaged 5 million viewers per episode with 1.5 ratings in key demographics.

As the showrunner left the show, fans are not certain if there will be significant changes to the thrilling drama series. Despite the fact that Josh Safran stepped down from running the show, he will still stay as a consultant for the third season of “Quantico.” A replacement for Safran is reportedly still underway.
Priyanka Chopra will reprise her role as Alex Parrish in the third season of the ABC series. However, there are reportedly a lot of cast members who will not be joining for the new season.
Yasmine Al Massri, who portrayed the roles of twin FBI recruits Raina and Nimah for the two seasons, won’t be reprising her role. In addition, Pearl Thusi won’t be joining the team for “Quantico” season 3.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, there were no explicit reasons given after the two series regulars’ exit from the show but it was speculated they were most likely due to the creative changes in the show.
The series stars Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Josh Hopkins, Grahan Rogers, Aunjanue Ellis, Johanna Braddy, Anabelle Acosta, Blair Underwood and Russell Tovey.
“Quantico” tells a story of a group of FBI agents who always find themselves trapped in terrorist conspiracies and plots. The series used flashbacks and forward structure. The season 3 release date is still not confirmed.
Chopra leads top actors chart
Priyanka Chopra truly impressed American audiences with her portrayal of Alex Parrish in the “Quantico” series.
She reportedly topped The Hollywood Reporter’s Top Actors chart for the second time around in June.
Following her on the list were Cara Delevigne, Kevin Hart, Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Robert Downey Jr., Shay Mitchell, Lily Collins and Deepika Padukone.
