DreamWorks Animation's mega-budget film “Captain Underpants” earned $3.5 million in its second weekend, dropping 51% from its opening weekend. “The Boss Baby” is expected to gross $50 million in its opening weekend and will hit a theater near you this weekend.
Nonetheless, the Fox-distributed film is doing better business than “Baywatch.”

At the box office, this film has grossed only $26 million, and early projections revealed that “Baywatch” would make at least $50 million in its opening weekend. The movie has been developed with a budget of $70 million and becomes a disappointment for the studio.
We feel that “Baywatch” needed a lot of work on its story, cinematography, and action sequences before the movie could be released. Fox's new film “Alien: Covenant” has earned over $445,000 this weekend, from 1,614 screens. The movie is doing okay, but cannot beat out “Wonder Woman.”
