Fans are now looking forward to the premiere episode of the upcoming “NCIS” Season 15. However, it seems like they have another reason to be anxious about as it has been confirmed that Jennifer Esposito is not returning in the coming installment.
Alex Quinn to bid farewell in ‘NCIS’ series
Celebeat shared that Jennifer Esposito is joining the list of artists who already left the popular US primetime series. According to the news outlet, Alexandra “Alex” Quinn can no longer be seen after the Season 14 finale.
It can be recalled that the character of Esposito received two mysterious calls from her mom in the finale episode of the “NCIS” Season 14.
This, then, pushed fans to speculate that the calls could be a hint that Alex Quinn’s involvement on the show will soon be over.
"It was a great experience," Jennifer Esposito said, confirming that she would not appear in the forthcoming “NCIS” Season 15 anymore. "I could not have asked for a better opportunity than to work with the NCIS cast and producers."
Initially, Special Agent Alexandra “Alex” Quinn was a character conceptualized by the late Gary Glasberg, who shockingly passed away before the airing of the show’s Season 14, Deadline shared. It is said that the new showrunner, including the writers and producers, are planning to take “NCIS” Season 15 into a different direction; hence, Esposito’s stint has been concluded.
Before Jennifer Esposito, other regular casts like Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, and Cote de Pablo have also left the show for some personal reasons. Due to the departure of the main characters, fans cannot help but speculate that “NCIS” Season 15 could be the series’ final installment.
Aside from the cast, rumors also have it that the significant rating drop could also push the management to cancel the show after fifteen seasons.
However, CBS has yet to comment on these claims. So, fans should take things with a grain of salt.
Tony DiNozzo, Ziva David reunion happening?

In an interview with The Wrap, the 48-year-old actor-director has confirmed that they are discussing a potential get-together of the two well-loved characters.
To recall, Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David left the series to focus on their family. It was in the Season 13 finale when the character of Weatherly had discovered that he and his love interest have a daughter named Tali.
“NCIS” Season 15 is predicted to premiere on September 16, 2017. Stay tuned for more spoilers, news, and updates about the popular CBS series!
