Kim Kardashian has expanded her brand from being a reality TV star to having her beauty line. Unlike her sister Kylie Jenner, Kim is facing allegations even before fans get the chance to use her makeup products. These days, Mrs. West is facing blackface accusations (photos with dark skin), and she has started responding to those allegations.
Kim Kardashian promotes her beauty line
On June 15, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star shared several photos on Twitter and Instagram promoting her beauty line. Fans quickly noticed that the 36-year-old actress had darkened her skin.
Kardashian looked a lot darker in her promo adds than her original skin color, and this created a lot of controversy on social media. KKW Beauty, featuring contour and highlight kits, is projected to net over $13 million within hours of its launch. Kim teased the beauty collection via Instagram photos and took to Snapchat to officially announce her business venture.

It is a collection of cream contours, and the kit is available in five different colors, containing two dual-ended crème sticks and half kabuki brush.
It comes packaged in a pink-colored KKW pouch, and the cost is $48. While Kim promised the products would make the whole contour process a lot easier, things did not go well.
Kim Kardashian’s blackface allegations
Among the notable comments on the brand’s feed; “Is Kim trying to compete with Kylie Cosmetics?” Within hours, fans began criticizing the reality TV star because of her blackface advertisement.
While Kim is not going to apologize for it, she owns up to the incident and explains why she looked the way she did.
“I would never want to offend anyone, Kardashian told New York Times.
She says that she hired a professional photographer and wanted to keep things simple. She had shown the photo to a lot of friends, and none of them reacted negatively toward it.
Kim admitted that she was “tan” during the photo session, and the photographer made necessary changes to give the picture a flawless look. This is the creative process hat happens and may not have even been intentional.
Meanwhile, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star is not the only one who has a beauty line. In 2015, Kylie Jenner found an instant success after introducing her lucrative Kylie Cosmetics.
