Tonight on the Season Premiere of "Counting On" everyone saw Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth get married. This couple had a great wedding, and everyone loved getting to see their first kiss. They weren't the only couple to have a big day, though. The fans also got to see Joseph Duggar propose to Kendra Caldwell on the show.
How did Joe decide to propose?
Joe got permission from his sister Joy-Anna Duggar before popping the question on her big day, and she was even in on it. When it was time to throw the bouquet to one of the single ladies in the audience, Joy just walked over and handed it to Kendra.
She had a big smile on her face and was obviously excited.
Next, Joe Duggar walked over to her and got down on one knee and proposed to her. Kendra was shocked and had no clue that this was going to happen just yet. Joseph asked her for her left hand to slide the ring on, and of course, Kendra Caldwell said "yes" to him.
After that, Austin Forsyth got on stage and made sure that everyone knew what went down. He explained what was going on and that Joe had just proposed to Kendra. This couple isn't married just yet, but it sounds like this will be the next Duggar wedding to air.
All About Kendra Caldwell
Kendra is from a large family, but not as big as the Duggars. She is the oldest of seven children in her family.
The couple talked for about six months before they started courting. She is four years younger than Joseph, but this doesn't seem to be an issue for them.
Joseph and Kendra actually met at church and bonded over their faith. It seems like she is okay with the idea of courting and doing things the way that the Duggars do. When they got engaged, they did hug a bit, but the couple seems to be waiting for their big day for their kiss just like the other Duggars decided to do.
He actually gave her a promise ring when he started courting with her, but then got another ring for when he proposed to her. Joe shared saying, "The promise ring signifies that I promise I’m going to wait for you for marriage. It’s kind of a similar token to what my other siblings have done. I just thought it was something a little bit different.”
