It has been three months since "The Vampire Diaries" aired its series finale. Many fans are still yearning for more Klaroline – Caroline Elizabeth Forbes (Candice King) and Niklaus Mikaelson’s (Joseph Morgan) – moments.
In the series' finale of "The Vampire Diaries," which aired on March 10, Caroline Forbes and her ex-fiancé, Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis), opened up the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. She received a generous $3 million donation from Niklaus Mikaelson, plus a handwritten letter that expressed his hope to thank her in person sometime in the future.
From there, a voice-over was heard that teased a new beginning. Due to that, it is strongly speculated that Candice King might be transferred from “The Vampire Diaries” to “The Originals.”
From 'The Vampire Diaries' to 'The Originals'
Adding fuel to the fire, “The Vampire Diaries” show creator Julie Plec has dropped a major bombshell about the possible reunion of Caroline Forbes and Niklaus Mikaelson in “The Originals” Season 5.
Hope Mikaelson, the tribrid daughter of Niklaus and Hayley Marshall-Kenner (Phoebe Tonkin), might be making her way to Mystic Falls in the finale of “The Originals” Season 4, which is set to air on June 23.
Entertainment Weekly, as cited by Digital Spy, quoted Julie Plec as saying during the recent ATX Television Festival that, "Alaric and Caroline are running the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted where Hope Mikael — S**t never mind...Keep watching!”
Here’s what to expect from ‘Voodoo Child’
In the meantime, the penultimate episode of “The Originals” Season 4 will see Niklaus Mikaelson teaming up with Vincent Griffith (Yusuf Gatewood) after he comes up with a desperate plan to defeat The Hollow for good.
However, Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) is apparently doubtful about Vincent Griffith's pronouncement and will come up with his own deadly strategy as a backup plan. The said plan, however, will force Hayley Marshall-Kenner, Niklaus Mikaelson, Freya Mikaelson (Riley Voelkel), and Rebekah Mikaelson (Claire Holt) to make the greatest sacrifice their family has ever endured.
Will it result in the death of Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies)?
The penultimate episode of “The Originals” Season 4, titled “Voodoo Child,” is scheduled to air on June 16, Friday, at 8:00 p.m (ET). For now, check out the 45-second-long promotional video below.
