With a show as big as "Game of Thrones" and the brilliant cast of actors, it comes as no surprise that we are attached to so many characters. It's been 6 years since the show first aired and the show's first season is also the season that we last saw some characters together in a scene.
There is no doubt that a lot has changed for some of our favorite characters. According to "Game of Thrones" showrunners and their most recent interview for EW, Season 7 is going to be the season of reunions.
What did the showrunners say?
Over the years "Game of Thrones" showrunners, David Benioff and Dan Weiss have had the unpleasant task of keeping information to themselves in order for fans to actually enjoy the show without being spoiled.
But from time to time they do share some interesting stuff about the upcoming season and this year was no exception.
They recently sat down for an interview with EW and shared some important insights about season 7. Dan Weiss said the scenes most interesting to film were the ones that included interactions between the characters that haven't shared a scene for years.
"There's a whole bunch of reunions and first time meetings that people have been waiting a long time", Weiss said before adding that in writing those scenes they tried to do justice to the actors that have done an amazing job building their characters over the course of 7 years. That's why they have tried their best to give them as much as they can.
'The war to come' is finally here
According to David Benioff, Game of Thrones season 7 will finally bring about the long anticipated 'war to come' that a few characters teased in the previous seasons.
"Things are moving faster because in the world of these characters the war that they've been waiting for is upon them," Weiss added before saying that there have been so many conflicts leading up to this war.
Since this is the case it comes as no surprise that it is "the sense of urgency that makes them move faster," showrunners concluded.
The one reunion we are all eager to see
"Game of Thrones" universe has brought to us so many great characters. It is because of the great actors and fascinating story that we were able to enjoy in each and every one of the amazing scenes the show has had.
Some of them were so epic that we have been waiting for years just to see the characters together at one place. And although there are certainly some interesting reunions that are going to take place in season 7, at least according to the trailers, there's one in particular that we are emotional about. And that's the reunion of Stark children. They are all heading in the same direction after all and we should definitely see the "wolf pack" reunited.
