Nearly two years have passed since Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani started dating. Recently, Shelton just revealed that the love between them is still going strong. Is he hinting at an upcoming marriage ceremony with Stefani?
Before the CMT Music Awards took place on Wednesday, Shelton reportedly gushed about his blond girlfriend to few media reporters, adding that Stefani is missing “The Voice” since it’s already over. Without taping or the show, Shelton revealed he and Stefani prefer to hang out together as they consider each other their own best friend.
No rush for a wedding ceremony
Despite earlier rumors swirling on the internet, it looks like Shelton and Stefani are not rushing things for now. In the recent interview with Shelton, he mentioned that they are still keeping their relationship strong.
“We are just content and happy and it’s an incredible feeling,” Shelton added.
Both Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were spotted out together performing at one another’s show. The country music crooner is also reportedly very close with Stefani’s three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo from her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale, which is why rumors about their impending engagement and wedding are always part of trending topics. However, the couple has yet to deny or confirm the wedding plans.
An alleged source also revealed to In Touch Weekly that Shelton and Stefani are not in their honeymoon phase when it comes to their relationship, however, they both love and are happy with each other right now. The source further explained that an engagement or wedding will never change that so those things are not prioritized.
Baby first before wedding
The couple is rumored to be trying hard in order to have a baby before tying the knot. A source told another magazine website that they are putting their engagement and wedding plans on hold to pursue plans to have a baby.
The insider added that Stefani is determined to carry a baby. In fact, the “Hollaback Girl” singer has undergone in-vitro fertilization treatments for over a year.
She's had no success so she reportedly decided to take a break for now.
The insider also revealed that Stefani is emotionally and physically exhausted but she is trying to get pregnant naturally.
Shelton and Stefani started dating in 2015. Shelton was linked to the “No Doubt” singer after he got divorced from Miranda Lambert. Meanwhile, Stefani went public with their relationship after she divorced Gavin Rossdale.
