Fans of "Daredevil" series are excitedly awaiting the blind vigilante's return to the small screen. Matt Murdock's return is one of the highly anticipated series on Netflix and according to new reports, the series might be returning to the streaming site by 2018 along with Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. However, it is still undetermined if the blind vigilante from Hell's Kitchen will be returning for a third season or if the reports are referring to a mini-series entitled "The Defenders." The said mini-series will reportedly feature a bunch of superheroes based in New York City including Danny Rand, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Matt Murdock.

However, recent reports clarified that "The Defenders" is all set to be aired on August 18, 2017, which would mean that Matt Murdock's schedule for 2018 will most likely be for "Daredevil" season 3. According to reports, "Jessica Jones" will be released first, followed by "Luke Cage," and "Daredevil" season 3. As of writing, no specific air date has been set for the third season but it has been confirmed by Charlie Cox himself that the cast and crew have already begun filming for new episodes.

New cast lineup for 'Daredevil' season 3

According to reports, "Daredevil" season 3 will be featuring new characters, both protagonists and villains, to spice up the upcoming episodes. One of the most intriguing characters that are rumored to be joining the third season is Bullseye.

Considered to be one of the worst and most-hated villains of all time, Bullseye's possible arrival in "Daredevil" season 3 is expected to make all hell break loose in Matt Murdock's world. Charlie Cox himself has reportedly expressed his wishes for Bullseye's character to be introduced in the series. According to reports, announcements and developments for new cast members are expected in the upcoming days.

Friends and lovers turned to foes

As if Matt Murdock's current situation isn't complicated enough, the people surrounding him seem to be quite a handful. Season 2 saw the blind vigilante deal with his lover turned foe, Elektra, which was considered to be a pivotal plot twist.

Meanwhile, Karen Page became closer to Matt Murdock, and while they eventually sorted out their feelings and clarified their relationship, things don't end up happily ever after as another villain, Wilson Fisk, has made his presence known. Fans can expect a lot more turmoil in Matt Murdock's personal life as his enemies take things personally and try to harm the people he loves.
