Bet Awards is one of the most awaited events in the year 2017. The recent event did not disappoint its millions of viewers all over the world as it highlighted the best moments and funny happenings during the awards night.

A report by CNN unveiled the best moments that happened during the BET Awards 2017. The Black Entertainment Television Awards 2017 was hosted by the 49-year-old American comedian and it ran for a total of four hours. The event featured live performances from Big Sean, Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar and more.

While Leslie Jones kept the audience entertained, some of the performers gave their inspiring acceptance speech during the event. The outlet revealed that Kendrick Lamar won the best male hip hop artist and even gave a tribute to Mobb Deep's Prodigy, who reportedly died a few days ago.

"I was inspired to study my skills and work on my connection with my neighborhood," Lamar said during his acceptance speech.

"How can I inspire them the same way he inspired the streets?"

Chance The Rapper who performed "I'm The One" with DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne and Quevo on stage also received the humanitarian award from BET. The "Cocoa Butter Kisses" rapper reportedly donated $1 million to the public schools in Chicago. It was Michelle Obama, the former first lady who gave the award to the "No Problem" singer through a video message.

Throughout the event, Leslie Jones managed to keep the audience entertained because of her several jokes. The crowd continued to laugh as she gave her monologue. "I am scared though 'cause I'm out here and I don't know all the rappers' names," Jones joked. "I don't know if I'm going to mess up somebody's name. 'Cause, you know, when I was coming up you could understand the rappers' names."

Worst happenings during the awards night caused by technical difficulties

On the other side of the story, Rolling Stone revealed one of the worst happenings during the awards night.

The report unveiled that there were multiple technical difficulties that happened several times.

Insiders even revealed that thousands of viewers did not like Trey Songz' new song 'Banana'. The audience did not feel his new song and did not like his live performance as he wore a fur jacket and surrounded himself with women while singing, "I will be throwing this banana all around."

Numerous reports hold that Leslie Jones was one of the main reasons why the BET Awards 2017 remained entertaining despite the technical difficulties.
