Compared to its previous season, “Arrow” Season 6 will be more about love and family. The lead star of the action crime television series Stephen Amell, who plays the role of Green Arrow/Oliver Queen, graced the recent Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in London and talked about the show’s future.
The 36-year-old star led the panel at the festival revealing the next installment’s theme. He even compared the previous season to the upcoming chapter. Aside from that, fans are now wondering who will be the show’s new villain now that Prometheus aka Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) is now gone.
The possible new big bads
With the unexpected, cliffhanging finale, of the past season fans are excited to see the coming changes in “Arrow” Season 6.
Viewers are still puzzled who died in the Lian Yu explosion and who will take Prometheus’ place as the new season’s villain. Hence, there are assumptions that either of Joseph Wilson, Komodo, or Red Star will be the next chapter’s new antagonist, Fan Fest reported.
To recall, in the fifth season’s final episode, Oliver talked about Joe Wilson while having a conversation with his father. The show’s protagonist handed a flash drive to Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) that contained details and whereabouts of his son. Although a father-and-son reunion might be happening, the two have no idea what kind of a person the younger Wilson has become.
There’s a big possibility that he hates his father. Thus he might be seeking for revenge.
Another possible big bad is Red Star, the son of Konstantin Kovar (Dolph Lundgren). Oliver killed Kovar, so it is not far that the latter’s son is preparing for vengeance. Although it has been quite awhile since the Green Arrow took the life of the governor, it is still possible that he is coming to punish the Mayor of Star City.
Lastly, Komodo aka Simon Lacroix (Matt Ward) might turn into a villain in “Arrow” Season 6. In the comics, he murdered his master Robert Queen. But, as the father of Oliver is already dead, there might be a big plot twist to make this happen.
New season will be all about family
Meanwhile, Stephen Amell teased that “Arrow” Season 6 will be all about family.
“From what I understand, the theme of Season 6 is family,” the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” actor said.
William Clayton (Jack Moore) now knows that his father is the Green Arrow. Hence, fans are about to see Oliver focusing on his child, especially with the tragic event that happened in the previous season’s finale. Also, he will be helping Slade to find his son that will further strengthen the theme of family.
