EW now dropped the first official trailer for “Power” Season 4 and it is, indeed, hair rising. The two-minute teaser showed James 'Ghost' St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) being locked in a cell while his adversaries are planning his defeat.
The twist and turn of events are pretty intense and action-packed as fans are about to see the return of Kanan (50 Cent), Mike Sandoval (David Fumero) among others. With its upcoming 10 episodes, fans are going to see how their much-loved protagonist fights his way to freedom.
New trailer's details
“That first night in jail, no idea what’s going to happen to you,” Kanan can be heard saying while Ghost is being locked in his cell.
The role of 50 Cent continued to say that the famous drug kingpin has been snatched with all the things that comfort him and everything that will make him feel at ease. “That’s real fear,” he said in the trailer.
Ghost was wrongfully accused of the murder of Greg Knox (Andy Bean). Now that he is being detained, its effect will be surely felt by everyone. Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora), on the other hand, has to choose if he is going to do his own thing and forget his friend and business partner for what happened.
And in spite of their fights and misunderstandings, Tasha St. Patrick (Naturi Naughton) will do everything to keep their family strong. As Angela Valdes (Lela Loren) strongly believes that Ghost is the one who murdered Greg, she will try to distance herself from her former lover whom she considers as the “biggest mistake of her life.”
Other things happening in the new installment
Moreover, fans are about to see what Ghost is really made of in “Power” Season 4.
Evidently, his designer suits are now gone, no luxury cars and his comfortable home and office are now replaced with jail bars. As he now realized that he has been framed up, he has to adjust to the life of a prisoner wearing an orange jumpsuit while waiting for his trial.
While Ghost is doing everything to fight for his freedom, Tommy is taking advantage of his absence.
The role of the 40-year-old Sikora is going to use Club Truth to sell his goods after killing Milan. Dre (Rotimi) will also prove that he only serves his loyalty to himself as he tries to get comfortable to Kanan.
Meanwhile, the “Fast & the Furious” star Sung Kang has joined the cast of “Power” Season 4 as Assistant U.S. Attorney John Mak, Ghost’s new opponent.
The role of the 45-year-old actor will do everything he can to win the case, but it looks like it could be both an asset and a problem to his team that includes Sandoval. The show will return on Starz on June 25 at 9 p.m.
