Popular Hollywood actors Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell who also happen to be longtime partners were honored with individual stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony on Thursday.

Apart from these two celebrities, the ceremony was also graced by the presence of 38-year-old actress Kate Hudson, who is Hawn's daughter from a previous marriage. Academy Award winner American actress Reese Witherspoon was present to pay tribute to Goldie Hawn whereas Director, writer, and actor Quentin Tarantino honored Kurt Russell.

Academy Award nominated Goldie Hawn and Golden Globe nominated Kurt Russell have been together since the last 33 years and have spent around five decades in the movie industry.

What did both the stars say

While addressing the occasion, Hawn said that this was the first time that both she and her partner were being celebrated and continued to thank her two daughters. She went on to pay tribute to her current partner Russell, her ex-husband and wished that her parents were there to witness this moment.

Russell, on the other hand, said that he was grateful to his family, his mom and sisters in particular as well as his own two children and the two children of partner Goldie Hawn who treat him like their own dad.

He further thanked Goldie Hawn and said that he would choose no one but Hawn to be standing next to him.

Kate Hudson also took the opportunity to speak highly of both her mom and her partner.

She paid tribute to both the great actors and said that not only will they be remembered as great movie stars but also "these shining stars standing next to me, their real legacy is what they’ve instilled in us kids.”

While speaking on the occasion, Reese Witherspoon disclosed how much she adores Hawn and that she has been her inspiration throughout her career.

Witherspoon also revealed that she agreed to play the part of Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde" only because of Hawn.

She went on to pay tribute to Hawn as said that she is responsible for breaking all the "barriers for women" and that she opened up unending prospects for female actresses. She ended her speech by she looked upon Hawn as her "idol".

Up until today, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have only appeared in one movie together that was "Overboard" in 1987.

Both Russell and Hawn are waiting for the release of their new movies "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and "Snatched" respectively.
